Goodbye Smytty

It looks like another dynasty-type player is gone from the Edmonton Oilers.

To quote Ron Burgandy "I'm in a glass case of emotion"

I'm not going to quote on the trade because there will have been 1000s who have. I understand both sides and I think it was a difficult situation for both sides. Let this serve as a lesson to Kevin Lowe that one must spend the money on the stars...and not the players surrounding them.

Nevertheless I don't have bitter feelings towards Ryan Smyth. He always played with class and is leaving that way...unlike some former Oilers who had to leave for "unspecified personal reasons".

The Oilers won't get better and the season is a wash.
