What not to do after swimming at a pool
On November 25th, the day of the dentistry formal, I went to the West Edmonton Mall Waterpark for a classmates birthday party (Tamara). It was great way to spend a birthday party because it was so warm inside the waterpark it was like -25 outside.
Well Alberta has a very dry climate and has began to be so noticeable that one study concluded that Albertans are the oldest looking people in Canada. At any rate, being in a dry place and going to a chlorine pool make for dry skins and dry eyes.
After going home to get ready for my formal, I put copious amounts of lotion on for my skin. My eyes, however, were left unattended.
When I got to Jackie's place she suggested putting eye drops in. I thought that this would be a good idea. After about 5 minutes after I put the drops in, there was an intense burning. My eyes were incredibly sore!! There were burn marks under my eyes too.
It was like there was chlorine or something still in my eyes and it caused my skin to burn.
Nearly 3 weeks later, my skin under my eyes still doesn't look the same.
So if your eyes are dry after goign to the pool, deal with it! You don't want burned skin!
