You know it's been snowing when....
Edmonton has just had it's second highest total of snow for the month of November in recorded history!!
There has been lots of snow.
Here are a few ways that it has affected me:
1. I park outside and it seems that most mornings I have to brush off the snow and scrape the ice of my windshield. I know that this isn't a big deal but I must have done it like maybe 10 times all of last year. I've done it more in one month.
2. Drives to school are taking me a lot longer
3. When parking my car on the driveway, I actually have to go down from the road. There is so much snow that there is a bump from the road. Now if the curb was low this wouldn't be a big deal. However, my curb is so high that I have to go off of it one tire at a time or I will scrape things.
I believe there are two reasons why there has been so much snow this year. First of all, I bought my parking pass at Jubilee. Not only is the parking lot not covered, so my car is left to fend the elements, there are no plugs. This is the first year where I haven't had a plug and it appears that I'm being punished for it (last year I used my plug once). Secondly, I bought new tires for my car. They are an All Season radial tire from Fountain Tire called Triple Treds. Each tred is used for a different type of weather: dry, rain and snow. I got them in September and that's when lots of raining happened. In October and November? Lots of snow. I guess I'm being punished for getting such awesome tires.
Here's to a dry December....

Yes here is to a DRY and WARM December. So you have a few events to write about...wine tasting, Dent formal and Christmas party but most of all FESTIVUS! ~Jackie
Phew, this post is pretty old to be commenting on it, but I'll just say that if there isn't a nice thick layer of the white stuff when I get back I'll be sorely disappointed.
