Grow-up you poor baby

I opened the Sports Section to read an article similar to the one quoted here from tsn.ca.

I had originally intended to read the Sports section to see what MacKinnon and Barnett had to say about the Oilers second win of the preseason, a 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers. Instead, the front section was defaced with an article about Chris Pronger and how he is sick of the rumours in Edmonton surrounding him and his trade request less than a week after the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Sadly, I thought that most Edmontonians had put this behind them. It appears that Pronger has been in obscurity too long in Anaheim and needs more press. He says he was pissed about the rumours. Go to the store with your 6 million dollars and buy some kleenex and Pampers diapers.

In the article, he didn't do anything to dispell the rumours that had, (notice I use the word HAD) going around in Edmonton and by doing so makes him look more pathetic. Furthermore, he had the audacity to say that fans in Edmonton are fickle. Fickle? We still boo Weight, Chelios, Comrie, and Bertuzzi and that soon won't stop...we also know how to cheer on winners too. We are like elephants, we never forget.

Probably the worst thing he said was that it isn't a big deal to ask for a trade, especially in Edmonton, since there have been many stars like Coffey, Anderson, and Messier that got traded. What kind of pedastal are you on buddy? They won more cups than you could ever dream about. They played here for over 5 years...which was the length of your contract. To top it off, they sure didn't ask to be traded a year after signing a 5 year contract that you specifically asked for. They will be remembered as winners. That's why their jerseys are retired up on the rafters in Rexall Place.

Grow up...or somebody might mistake you for a giant baby.
