Starting School Already?!?

A funny thing happened Monday morning.

I got up at 6:45. No, I wasn't going golfing because I didn't have an early morning tee-time. I wasn't away in Europe and my tour guide wasn't making us get up at ridiculous hours.

It was August 28th and I woke to start my second year of Dentistry.

My six weeks of holidays went by so incredibly fast because I enjoyed what I did. I was able to go away for 3 of the weeks. Normally I have 4 months of summer where I'd be working all the time and maybe get away for about a week. It was a change and one I was not used to.

On Tuesday when we started our real lectures, I realized that I wanted more time off. It's now Thursday and I feel that I've sat for 3 days of lectures and not really paid attention. I'm there, but only physically. It's going to take me a long time before I'm interested again in school.

It doesn't help when we skipped the mouth in our digestion block and are currently doing dissections of the abdomen.

I haven't opened a single book yet, and it's 8 PM on Thursday. Anatomy will probably be rough tomorrow, but for some reason I can't get myself to do anything yet. Next Tuesday perhaps...
