A Benefit of Being in the Clinic

So it's been nearly three weeks since I have been in Intersession. Intersession is when the dentistry students actually get to do dentistry stuff like operative, radiology, occlusion, preventative etc.

It's been great so far especially since I got most of the $10 000 that I spent on equipment. Most of it is shiny and metal with the one exception being my space age curing gun which is just insanely cool.

The one thing is that there are clinic supplies supplied everywhere. There might be some sort of supply gnomes because it seems to me that they never run out of supplies. Besides the usual supplies of gloves, dental dams, suction tips, plastic bags (for covering equipment, not for self-suffocation), bibs, paper, and masks, there is mouthwash.

I've never had access to mouthwash at school like this. It's great. After lunch if you've eaten a sandwich with lots of onions like I do or if you just don't feel 'fresh' in the mouth, you can use the mouthwash.

My mouth has never felt so clean for periods when I don't brush my teeth!
