Detroit It is

With the Vancouver Canucks winning in overtime against the Avalanche, it means that the Oilers will be playing the Detroit Red Wings in the first series of the playoffs.

It was speculated that the first game of the series will be played in Detroit on Saturday.

I can't wait until the playoffs start because the way that hockey is played is totally different. Crowds get into it way more...I think that's the biggest thing. Score a goal when you are the away team and the crowd goes silent....score a goal or have a few good chances when you are the home team and the crowd is crazy. The crowd goes wild even when there are little or big hits or when you are on the penalty kill and you manage the get the puck past the blue line.

Even my mom starts watching hockey...and if my mom starts watching hockey, then it must be very exciting.

Best of all, by having the Oilers make the playoffs, it means that all of the hundreds of hours watching hockey, highlights and surfing nhl.com means were not wasted.
