Bring on the Playoffs

Well the OIlers surprised me and a lot of Edmonton...they finally did it. They won at home when they actually had to. It's hard to believe, but it's a great feeling. It's been so long since we've had playoff hockey here. I believe that Mike Comrie was still around when the Oilers last made the playoffs.

It was a great consistent effort from the Oilers on Thursday. Even the goaltending was good. The only thing that I would say the Oilers needed to improve upon was the powerplay. That has been something that they have been generally good the whole year.

I hope that the Oilers end up playing Detroit in the playoffs. It will be nice to see a different team in the playoffs instead of Dallas. Dallas just has the Oilers number. Detroit, is an old team with a hell of a lot of playoff experience. If the Oilers end up getting great goaltending and play with a lot of speed, they will give Detroit a run for their money.

Here comes two weeks of not studying!
