The New Drama

I have enough of all the hospital dramas.

Er, Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, House and Scrubs (though arguably it's a dramedy) are the current hospital shows that I know of at the moment. There have been countless others such as Chicago Hope, St. Elsewhere, Diagnosis Murder. General Hospital is the soap opera version.

There are just too many out there.

I propose that a new version of dramas should come out. One about dentists. There can be dental emergencies or some serious dental problems. Just imagine the mouths of people who have never brushed before....the decay there would be astounding. Imagine how hard it would be for the dentists to fix those problems.

Just like television doctors, television dentists can have their own problems. Everyone knows and keeps reminding me that dentists have the highest suicide rate so there could be dentists with suicidal problems. Other problems could include financial, family, marital, substance abuse, ethical problems and of course sexual. According to all television shows, people in hospitals have sex all the time. So could dentists and their staff. There would be countless problems arising from this.

Just imagine all of the possibilities that a dentistry drama could offer.

I'll contemplate writing a pilot.
