Something to think about

Tino in my class presented to us a paradox that I think all should stop and think about for a minute.

Can an omnipotent God create a rock so big that he can no longer lift it?

Think about it.

Not so much a paradox as a philosophical ponderance (and not a new one, I'd note, but one that has stood the test of time). I'm not one for theological musings, religion has never been a big consideration of mine. But I'll offer another one that I got from the best source of philosophical dicourse: a video game (Alpha Centauri to be exact).
"Some may ask: Why would a perfect God create a universe with so much pain and suffering? They have ignored a more pressing question: Why would a perfect God create a universe at all?"

I like yours too Arthur. Yours is of an even bigger picture. Who cares about big rocks when you are considering the universe?
